Elanga Set for Newcastle Move as Magpies Agree £55m Fee

Anthony Elanga is on the verge of becoming a Newcastle United player after the club agreed a £55 million transfer fee with Nottingham Forest for the winger.

The Sweden international is expected to arrive in Newcastle on Tuesday afternoon to undergo his medical and finalise personal terms ahead of the switch.

Although some minor details are still being discussed, the main structure of the deal has been agreed between both clubs. Talks over the past few days have focused largely on how the fee will be paid.

Elanga, 22, is said to be thrilled by the prospect of joining a team playing Champions League football, with Newcastle keen to strengthen their attack ahead of the new season.

The former Manchester United player joined Forest last summer and impressed in his debut campaign with strong performances and goals, drawing interest from several top clubs.

Newcastle are moving quickly in the summer transfer market as they aim to build a squad capable of competing at the highest level both domestically and in Europe.
