Galatasaray head coach Okan Buruk faces a welcome selection dilemma ahead of this evening’s Turkish Süper Lig clash against Kayserispor at the Kayseri Stadium.
The defending champions have begun their title defence in emphatic style, recording back-to-back 3–0 victories over Gaziantep FK and Fatih Karagümrük.
Barış Alper Yılmaz has been the standout performer, scoring three goals in two games to lead the attack. His fine form has given Buruk reason to persist with him as the central striker.
However, Buruk also has the option of recalling Mauro Icardi, who returned from a long injury layoff with a goal in the win against Karagümrük. In addition, Victor Osimhen is nearing full fitness after his own injury setback and could feature, adding to the coach’s attacking options.
With Yılmaz in scintillating form and the return of Galatasaray’s star forwards, Buruk is expected to make a late decision on who will spearhead the champions’ frontline in Kayseri.
Kick-off is scheduled for 7:45 p.m. local time.
