The Kwara State Polytechnic has received the official nod from the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) to commence new National Diploma (ND) programmes in key academic fields, including Law and Medical Imaging.
The development marks a significant milestone in the institution’s continuous expansion of its academic offerings, aimed at aligning with contemporary industry needs and national development priorities.
According to a statement released by the school’s management, the newly approved ND programmes include:
National Diploma in Law
National Diploma in Medical Imaging Technology
National Diploma in Welding and Fabrication Technology
National Diploma in Library and Information Science
The Rector of the institution, Dr. Abdul Jimoh Mohammed, expressed appreciation to the NBTE for the approval and reaffirmed the polytechnic’s readiness to commence the programmes in the next academic session with qualified faculty and adequate facilities.
He stated that the new courses would enhance access to quality technical and legal education in the state and empower young Nigerians with the skills needed to compete globally.
With this latest approval, Kwara State Polytechnic continues to solidify its position as one of Nigeria’s leading institutions for technical and vocational education.
