Lagos Commissioner Bada-Ambrose Rallies Support for IATF 2025 at Afrexim High-Level Roadshow

July 5, 2025 – Lagos, Nigeria

Honourable Commissioner for Commerce, Cooperatives, Trade and Investment (MCCTI), Mrs. Folashade Bada-Ambrose, joined the leadership of Afrexim Bank and top business executives at a high-level roadshow held in Lagos on Monday, June 30, 2025, to drum up support for the upcoming 4th Intra-African Trade Fair (IATF 2025).

Her presence underscored Lagos State’s longstanding commitment to promoting Nigeria’s active participation in continental trade integration, as demonstrated in the past three editions of the IATF.

The 2025 edition of the trade fair is set to take place from September 4 to 10 at the Algeria Company of Fairs and Exhibitions Centre (SAFEX), Algiers, Algeria.

Speaking during the engagement, Mrs. Bada-Ambrose reaffirmed Lagos State’s strategic economic role and reiterated the government’s readiness to leverage the IATF platform to expand investment opportunities, facilitate partnerships, and boost intra-African trade.

The IATF, organized by Afrexim Bank in collaboration with the African Union and AfCFTA Secretariat, is a premier platform for promoting trade and investment among African nations. It offers businesses across the continent the opportunity to showcase goods and services, connect with buyers and investors, and deepen economic integration in line with the goals of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).

Stakeholders at the event expressed optimism about the fair’s potential to unlock new trade channels, scale up African enterprise, and promote inclusive growth across the continent.
