Health workers in Lagos State have received new scrubs and Crocs as part of the Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI) led by Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu.
The initiative aims to improve the working conditions of nurses and midwives across Nigeria by providing professional kits. Lagos State was among the final beneficiaries in a nationwide rollout, which targets distributing 60,000 kits across the country’s six geopolitical zones.
Speaking at the distribution event, First Lady Oluremi Tinubu highlighted the importance of supporting frontline health workers and acknowledged the contribution of an anonymous global partner whose funding made the initiative possible.
Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State praised the effort, noting that the kits would enhance the morale of healthcare professionals and improve healthcare delivery in the state.
The Renewed Hope Initiative continues to focus on strengthening Nigeria’s healthcare system through such empowerment programs, with plans to sustain support for health workers in the future.
