The Lagos State Government has enhanced the capacity of more than 350 quality assurance evaluators to improve effective monitoring and compliance in schools across the state.
The initiative, according to the state Ministry of Education, is designed to ensure that evaluators are well-equipped with modern tools and methodologies to assess schools in line with global best practices. By strengthening monitoring systems, the government hopes to raise educational standards, enforce compliance with regulations, and foster accountability among stakeholders in the sector.
Officials said the training is part of ongoing reforms by the Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu administration aimed at delivering accessible, qualitative, and technology-driven education for every child in Lagos.
Education experts commended the move, stressing that capacity-building for evaluators is a critical step in bridging learning gaps, curbing sharp practices in schools, and improving overall teaching and learning outcomes.
