Honourable Dr. Yusuf Tanko Sununu, the Minister of State for Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction, has met with former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Patricia Etteh, to foster stronger collaboration in addressing poverty and humanitarian challenges across Nigeria.
The strategic engagement, held in Abuja, reflects the federal government’s continued efforts to promote inclusive dialogue and build cross-sectoral partnerships in its fight against poverty and vulnerability. Dr. Sununu emphasized the importance of collaborative action with key stakeholders, including past and present political leaders, to ensure effective delivery of humanitarian services and poverty alleviation programs.
Rt. Hon. Etteh commended the Ministry’s initiatives and pledged support towards a unified national response to poverty and humanitarian needs, especially in underserved communities. She stressed that meaningful progress can only be achieved when leaders across the board work together with shared purpose and vision.
The meeting is seen as part of broader efforts by the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction to deepen stakeholder engagement and accelerate the implementation of the Renewed Hope Agenda under President Bola Tinubu’s administration.
