NASFAT Women’s Wing Honours Alhaja Bola Aduke Kupolati, Former Women Affairs Secretary, at Colourful Sent-Forth Ceremony

The Nasrul-Lahi-l-Fatih Society (NASFAT) held a grand sent-forth ceremony in honour of Alhaja Bola Aduke Kupolati, the immediate past National Women Affairs Secretary, on Friday, April 25, 2025. The event, which took place at the Lagos Secretariat Mosque Extension, Alausa, Ikeja, brought together dignitaries, members of NASFAT from across Nigeria and beyond, and a host of well-wishers to celebrate a remarkable leader and devoted servant of the society.

The event was marked by warmth, celebration, and deep appreciation for Alhaja Kupolati’s numerous contributions during her tenure from 2019 to 2024. It featured a special prayer led by Alhaji Maruf Abdul Azeez Onike, Chief Missioner of NASFAT, who invoked divine blessings for the honouree and acknowledged her unwavering service to the faith-based organization.

In her opening remarks, the current National Women Affairs Secretary, Alhaja Ganiyat Omowumi Babalola, praised Kupolati as a kind-hearted, firm, generous, versatile, and resourceful woman whose leadership brought transformation and unity among NASFAT women.

Tributes poured in from former National Women Affairs Secretaries, including Alhaja Faosiya Oladoja and Alhaja Arogundade, who described her as a “beautiful soul,” a “go-getter,” and a “great achiever” whose passion and drive left indelible marks.

The zonal goodwill message was delivered by Alhaja Obandara, who highlighted Kupolati’s friendly disposition and prayed for continued blessings in her life. Similarly, the Headquarters’ goodwill message, presented by Alhaja Monsurat Uthman, fondly known as Mama Mia, reinforced the sentiments of admiration. She praised the honouree for her firmness, vibrancy, and compassionate nature.

Alhaja Adeola Aralepo read a moving citation that highlighted the life, career, and milestones of Alhaja Kupolati. This was followed by a special gift presentation from the event’s planning committee, ably led by Alhaja Muslimat Okikioposu. Several other gifts and tributes were also received from zones across the country and individual well-wishers.

In her heartfelt response, Alhaja Kupolati expressed profound gratitude to NASFAT and all who supported her during her years of service. She enumerated her key achievements, including the construction of a state-of-the-art 30-bed hospital at Fountain University, Osogbo, a legacy project under NASFAT’s healthcare initiatives.

She credited her success to divine guidance, teamwork, and the support of women across the society. Her remarks were filled with emotion and appreciation, capturing the essence of her impactful journey and future aspirations.

The event was further graced by the presence of Prof. Adetutu Adisa, former National Children Affairs Secretary, NASFAT, alongside several eminent NASFAT women leaders from various zones in Nigeria and the diaspora. Among them was Alhaja Simbiat Agbalajobi, who joined in paying tribute to the honouree’s leadership, integrity, and unwavering commitment to community development, Alhaja Mariam Dahiru who represented NASFAT women coordinator, Los Angeles, Princess MKO Abiola among friends, families and well wishers.

The sent-forth was not only a celebration of service and achievement but also a reflection of the unity and strength of NASFAT women nationwide. It was a vibrant and eventful gathering filled with prayers, testimonials, and a strong sense of purpose, a befitting farewell for a leader whose legacy will continue to inspire.
