NFF Warns Public Against Fake Social Media Accounts Impersonating Super Eagles Coach Eric Chelle

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has issued a public warning regarding fraudulent social media accounts impersonating Eric Chelle, the head coach of the Super Eagles. In an official statement released on Saturday via X (formerly Twitter), the NFF emphasized that Chelle does not have an account on the platform and urged the public to disregard any profiles claiming to represent him.

“Super Eagles Head Coach, Eric Chelle, does not have an X account. His only official social media presence is on Instagram: [@eric_chelle],” the NFF stated. The federation also cautioned fans against engaging with fake accounts, which may spread misinformation or attempt to scam unsuspecting individuals.

The warning comes amid increasing concerns about the proliferation of fake social media accounts, often used to disseminate false information or defraud followers. The NFF has called on the public to remain vigilant and rely solely on Chelle’s verified Instagram account for authentic updates.

“Please be advised that Super Eagles Head Coach, Eric Chelle, does not possess an X account. Exercise caution and be wary of scams or any misleading information,” the statement reiterated.

The NFF’s alert underscores the importance of verifying official sources of information, particularly in the digital age, where misinformation and fraudulent activities are on the rise. Fans are encouraged to follow only verified accounts to stay informed about the Super Eagles and their coaching staff.
