The Honourable Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Yusuf Maitama Tuggar, on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, received the High Commissioner of Canada to Nigeria, Mr. Pasquale Salvaggio, at the Ministry’s headquarters in Abuja.
The high-level diplomatic meeting focused on strengthening bilateral relations and enhancing cooperation between the two nations in areas of mutual interest, including economic development, education, trade, and security.
Both parties reaffirmed their commitment to deepening ties and exploring new avenues for collaboration that will foster peace, prosperity, and shared growth for both countries.
The visit by the Canadian envoy is seen as part of broader efforts to bolster international partnerships and reinforce Nigeria’s position as a key player in global diplomacy.
