Osimhen Snubs €120m Al Hilal Deal, Eyes European Future Amid Top Club Interest

Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen has turned down a massive €120 million contract offer from Saudi Arabian side Al Hilal, choosing instead to remain in Europe as interest from elite clubs continues to grow.

Al Hilal, who recently appointed former Inter Milan coach Simone Inzaghi as their new manager, had identified the Nigerian star as a top transfer target ahead of the upcoming 2025 FIFA Club World Cup. The club tabled a three-year deal reportedly worth €40 million annually, hoping to lure Osimhen from Napoli, where his future remains uncertain.

However, according toFoot Mercato, Osimhen “decided to reject Al Hilal’s offer” and now intends to “take his time before choosing his next club.”

This latest rejection marks the third time the 26-year-old has turned down advances from the Saudi Pro League giants. Previous offers included annual wages of €30 million, €35 million, and most recently €45 million, as revealed by Italian outlet Calciomercato.

A close source to the player,Onyebuchi Onokala, confirmed the development in a post on X (formerly Twitter). “Victor Osimhen officially turns down Saudi club Al Hilal first offer. It was the same offer they made last year,” he wrote.

Despite Napoli agreeing a €75 million transfer fee with Al Hilal, renowned football transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano also reported that Osimhen “said no” to the Saudi club, keeping the door open for European suitors.

Meanwhile, Galatasaray, Turkish Super Lig champions, have intensified their pursuit of the Nigerian striker. The club, which once had Osimhen on loan, where he bagged 37goals in 41 appearances, is reportedly willing to meet his wage demands, with a new €26 million per year salary proposal already on the table.

Sources close to the negotiations reveal that a top Italian club is also prepared to match his salary expectations, making the competition for his signature even stiffer.

Osimhen, who is currently on holiday in Nigeria, is expected to carefully consider his options before making a final decision on his next destination.
