This ambitious effort, which is aligned with the Kingdom’s broader Vision 2030 objectives, seeks to elevate the standard of care and service provided to pilgrims visiting the holy cities of Makkah and Madinah. By investing in human capital development, the programme is expected to boost the overall pilgrimage experience and ensure that workers are better equipped to meet the unique and diverse needs of the Guests of Allah.
According to officials involved in the initiative, the training modules will cover key areas such as crowd management, first aid response, multilingual communication, cultural sensitivity, and advanced hospitality protocols. The goal is not just to increase the quantity of trained personnel, but to significantly raise the quality of their interactions with pilgrims during both Hajj and Umrah seasons.
The partnership with Umm Al-Qura University, one of the Kingdom’s oldest and most prestigious institutions, adds an academic backbone to the initiative, ensuring that the training is both rigorous and aligned with global best practices in service and religious tourism.
