Ribadu Pays Condolence Visit to Jigawa Governor Over Family Losses

The National Security Adviser (NSA), Malam Nuhu Ribadu, visited Jigawa State Governor Umar Namadi at the State Government House to offer his condolences following the recent deaths of the governor’s mother, Hajiya Maryam Namadi, and his son, Abdulwahab Namadi.

Ribadu, who had not been able to personally express his sympathy earlier, made the visit on Sunday to convey his heartfelt condolences. “I came personally to offer my condolences, which I had not been able to do earlier,” he said during the visit. He also prayed for the repose of the souls of the deceased, asking Almighty God to grant them eternal peace.

Governor Namadi, while receiving Ribadu at the Government House in Dutse, the state capital, expressed his gratitude for the visit. “I appreciate your efforts for making time to visit despite your busy schedule,” Namadi remarked. He also prayed for the continued strength of their relationship, noting the importance of their bond.

The governor emphasized that Ribadu’s visit was a testament to the strong friendship between the two leaders, adding, “This gesture highlights the strong bond between us.” Namadi also acknowledged the crucial role Ribadu’s office plays in advising the President on national security matters, emphasizing the importance of maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders in the country.

The visit, though made some time after the tragic loss of the governor’s mother and son, underscored the deep friendship and mutual respect between Ribadu and Namadi, reinforcing their commitment to fostering a positive and supportive relationship.
