Taif, Saudi Arabia – June 11, 2025 – In a gesture of goodwill and religious devotion, the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance has commenced the distribution of special gifts from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, to departing pilgrims at the Taif International Airport.
The symbolic gesture is part of the Kingdom’s ongoing tradition of honoring pilgrims who have completed the sacred rites of Hajj and Umrah, reinforcing Saudi Arabia’s commitment to the welfare, comfort, and spiritual enrichment of visitors to the holy sites.
Pilgrims at the airport were seen receiving neatly packaged souvenirs, which include copies of the Holy Qur’an, Islamic literature in multiple languages, prayer beads, and other devotional materials—carefully curated to aid their spiritual journey even after leaving the Kingdom.
Officials of the Ministry, who were present at the distribution ceremony, emphasized that the initiative reflects the Kingdom’s consistent dedication to serving the Guests of Allah. They noted that similar distributions are taking place across other exit points in the Kingdom, including Jeddah, Madinah, and Riyadh.
“This initiative represents the heartfelt love and care of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Crown Prince for every pilgrim who visits the Kingdom,” one senior ministry official remarked.
The program is a long-standing tradition overseen by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs and has been a notable highlight for many pilgrims, who often express deep appreciation for the Kingdom’s hospitality and generosity.
Pilgrims, many visibly emotional, expressed gratitude to the Saudi leadership for not only ensuring a peaceful pilgrimage season but also for the thoughtful gesture at their departure point.
This year’s Umrah and Hajj operations have been marked by improved services, seamless coordination among government agencies, and the increased use of digital platforms like the Nusuk app to manage pilgrim logistics.
With the 1447H season now well underway, Saudi Arabia continues to position itself as a global leader in religious tourism, setting high standards in both organization and the spiritual experience for millions of Muslims around the world.
