The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has disclosed that the newly commissioned Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre has generated a remarkable ₦700 million in revenue within just three weeks of commencing operations.
Wike made this revelation while briefing journalists on the progress of infrastructure development within the FCT. He noted that the centre, located in Abuja, has rapidly become a hub for high-profile national and international events, reflecting the strategic vision behind its establishment.
“We are pleased to announce that the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre has already brought in ₦700 million in less than a month. This is a strong testament to its value and the foresight of the Tinubu administration,” Wike said.
Commissioned in mid-June 2025, the centre was designed to promote Abuja as a global destination for conferences, exhibitions, and major diplomatic engagements. The ultra-modern facility features a 5,000-seater main auditorium, meeting halls, media centres, VIP lounges, and state-of-the-art equipment.
Wike emphasized that the impressive revenue generated would be reinvested in the continued development of the FCT and is in line with President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, which prioritizes infrastructure, self-sustainability, and economic productivity.
The minister also hinted at plans to replicate similar infrastructure in other strategic areas of the capital to further boost tourism, investment, and international visibility for Nigeria.
