The Defending Champion, Real Madrid, has clinched the Champions League Quarter Final Berth in Penalty Thriller.
The Spanish giant qualified after a nail-biting 4-2 penalty shootout win over it’s arch, Atletico Madrid.
The both teams, after the full time game, had a tie, which ended in 2-2 draw, on aggregate, with Julian Alvarez’s disallowed penalty and Marcos Llorente’s miss sealing Atletico’s fate.
Madrid will now face Arsenal, who eased through with a 9-3 aggregate victory over PSV Eindhoven.
Arsenal’s Emphatic March Continues
Despite a 2-2 draw in the second leg, Arsenal dominated PSV 9-3 overall. Oleksandr Zinchenko and Declan Rice scored for the Gunners, while PSV’s Couhaib Driouech salvaged pride.
Mikel Arteta’s side, winless in Europe since 1994, now awaits a blockbuster clash with Real Madrid.
