Vice President of Nigeria, Senator Kashim Shettima, has arrived in Addis Ababa, the capital of Ethiopia, for an official state visit aimed at deepening diplomatic relations and strengthening continental cooperation.
Upon his arrival, VP Shettima was warmly received by top Ethiopian government officials and proceeded to a high-level meeting with the Prime Minister of Ethiopia, Dr. Abiy Ahmed Ali. The meeting centred on a range of bilateral and continental issues, including economic cooperation, regional peace and security, climate change, agriculture, and trade partnerships.
Both leaders reaffirmed the long-standing relationship between Nigeria and Ethiopia and expressed a shared commitment to enhancing collaboration for the mutual benefit of both nations and the African continent at large.
This visit is part of ongoing efforts to reinforce Nigeria’s diplomatic footprint across Africa and engage in strategic dialogues that promote unity, development, and sustainable partnerships.
