Scheduled for 18–19 November 2025 in Aberdeen, Scotland, the West African Energy Summit (WAES) returns for its second edition under the theme “Building Bridges for Regional Prosperity.” The summit, hosted by OGV Group in collaboration with Ghana’s Ministry of Energy, Petroleum Commission and Ghana National Petroleum Corporation, aims to connect technology providers, industry players, investors, and regional leaders to accelerate development across West Africa’s upstream oil, gas, and energy sectors .
This year’s summit will spotlight the role of innovative technologies, such as AI, predictive maintenance, digital twins, subsea processing, and asset integrity solutions, in promoting operational efficiency, cost reduction, and asset lifespan optimisation. Delegates can expect in-depth panel sessions and presentations over two days, featuring digital transformation, offshore infrastructure, and gas sector discussions .
A central component of WAES 2025 is the West Africa National Showcase Forum, giving energy ministers and NOC representatives a platform to promote priority upstream assets and investment opportunities. The event aims to translate strategic dialogues into bankable energy projects across 16 West African states .
