48 Teams Set for CSL Easter Cup Youth Football Tournament

The CitySports Africa Easter Cup Youth Football Tournament is gearing up to host 48 teams from across Nigeria in a two-day competition scheduled for April 18-19, 2025. The event, powered by the CitySports League, will feature young football talents competing in U-9, U-12, and U-15 categories.

Tournament Format:

  • Group Stage: 16 teams will be divided into four groups (A, B, C, and D), each containing four teams, for a round-robin phase.
  • Knockout Stage: The competition will proceed to the quarter-finals, semi-finals, and finals after the group stage.

Focus on Development:
The tournament emphasizes talent development over competition, with no monetary prizes awarded. Instead, the top three teams will receive trophies and medals, while all participants will get an “I am a CSL Challenger” trophy, highlighting participation and personal growth.


The event is supported by prominent brands such as Indomie, Twisco, Complete Sports, Brila Media, and Lagoon Hospitals, Lagos. These partnerships underscore the commitment to empowering young athletes and fostering a strong sports communit

The Easter Cup aims to become one of Africa’s largest youth football tournaments, providing a platform for young talents to gain exposure and access global opportunities. The event will take place in Victoria Island, Lagos, and is open to the public, encouraging families and football fans to attend and support the next generation of football stars.
