Amidst swirling rumour of an impending operational shutdown, telecommunications provider 9mobile has moved to reassure its Nigerian subscriber base, firmly dismissing the claims as baseless and intended to create unnecessary panic.
The company, in a statement released on Friday, acknowledged recent service challenges, particularly concerning issues related to Mobile Number Portability (MNP). These challenges had led to growing concerns among users, with some accusing the telco of deliberately obstructing their attempts to switch networks.
