Telecommunications operator 9mobile has officially rebranded as “T2,” marking a major shift in its corporate identity and strategic direction. The unveiling took place in Lagos on Saturday, with company executives describing the move as part of a broader plan to reposition the brand for the future of digital communications in Nigeria.
T2’s Chief Executive Officer, Juergen Peschel, said the rebrand reflects the company’s commitment to innovation, improved service delivery, and deeper customer engagement. He noted that the new identity is designed to resonate with younger, tech-savvy users while retaining the loyalty of its long-standing subscribers.
Peschel added that the transformation will go beyond a name change, involving network upgrades, expanded 5G rollout, enhanced customer support, and a renewed focus on digital financial services.
The company assured customers that existing SIMs and services will remain valid, and the transition will be seamless. T2 aims to position itself as a major player in Nigeria’s competitive telecoms market by leveraging cutting-edge technology and customer-centric solutions.
