Chelsea and Liverpool are reportedly prepared to offer up to €75m (£63.2m) to sign Atalanta BC winger Ademola Lookman in the summer transfer window.
Lookman’s Rise to Stardom
The former Fulham and RB Leipzig star has been in sensational form since joining Atalanta, playing a key role in their Europa League triumph last season.
“Lookman stole the headlines with a historic hat-trick in Atalanta’s Europa League final win over Bayer Leverkusen,” the report noted.
This season, the 26-year-old has continued his impressive performances, scoring 18 goals and providing seven assists in 32 matches across all competitions.
Contract Situation & Exit Rumors
Lookman’s contract is set to expire in 2026, but Atalanta have the option to extend it for another year. However, a reported clash with manager Gian Piero Gasperini has fueled speculation about a summer exit.
“Lookman is eager for a new challenge following tensions with Gasperini, and a return to the Premier League appears to be his preferred choice,” the report claims.

According to Fichajes, both Liverpool and Chelsea are readying bids to secure his services.
Atalanta’s Likely Decision
Even if Atalanta activate the contract extension, the club may struggle to reject a £63.2m offer from the English giants.
Since joining La Dea for just €9.4m (£7.9m) from RB Leipzig in 2022, Lookman has recorded 50 goals and 22 assists in 110 matches, making him a major success story for the Italian club.
How Lookman Fits Into Liverpool & Chelsea Plans
The Nigeria international is highly versatile, capable of playing as a right winger, left winger, second striker, or centre-forward.
For Liverpool, Lookman could be a potential successor to Mohamed Salah, whose contract situation remains unresolved.
“With Luis Diaz, Diogo Jota, and Darwin Nunez all linked with exits, Lookman could provide a solution across Liverpool’s attack under new manager Arne Slot,” the report stated.
For Chelsea, the signing of Lookman could help reinforce their attacking options, especially if one of their forwards departs in the summer.
With both English giants keen on signing the in-form Nigerian star, Lookman’s return to the Premier League could be on the horizon.
