The Lagos State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board has welcomed its newly appointed Secretary, Mr. AbdulHakeem Ajomagberin. He officially resumed office on Wednesday, receiving a warm welcome from the heads of departments, units, and other staff members.
Ajomagberin has pledged to make the Board a model of service delivery, emphasizing the importance of teamwork and staff support in achieving this goal. His primary objective is to provide a conducive and comfortable experience for pilgrims during the Hajj and Umrah exercises.
In his address, Ajomagberin sought the maximum support and cooperation of the staff, acknowledging that he cannot achieve the Board’s goals single-handedly. He expressed his gratitude to Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, his deputy, Dr. Kadri Obafemi Hamzat, and the Head of Service (HoS) Mr. Olabode Shuaeeb Agoro, for the trust and confidence they have reposed in him.
Ajomagberin, a seasoned administrator, was previously the Director of Administration and Human Resource at the Lagos State Primary Health Care Board. His experience and expertise are expected to bring significant improvements to the Board’s operations.
The staff of the Board has assured Ajomagberin of their loyalty, cooperation, and support, as they had extended to his predecessor, Mr. Saheed Onipede. With the new leadership in place, the Board is poised to enhance its service delivery and provide a better experience for Muslim pilgrims in Lagos State.
The Lagos State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board is responsible for coordinating and facilitating the Hajj and Umrah exercises for Muslim pilgrims in the state. The Board’s primary objective is to provide a conducive and comfortable experience for pilgrims, ensuring their safety, well-being, and spiritual fulfillment.
