Nigeria Immigration Service Bags Security Partnership Recognition Award at 2025 Nigeria Police Awards

ABUJA — The Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) has been honoured with the prestigious Security Partnership Recognition Award at the 2025 Nigeria Police Award and Commendation Ceremony held in Abuja. The event, which brought together top security stakeholders from across the country, celebrated exceptional contributions to national security and inter-agency cooperation.

The award presented to the NIS acknowledges its consistent collaboration with the Nigeria Police Force and other security agencies in enhancing border security, intelligence sharing, and the overall safety of the nation.

Comptroller General of Immigration, Kemi Nandap, who received the award on behalf of the Service, expressed gratitude for the recognition, stating that it would further motivate the agency to strengthen its strategic partnerships in the interest of national security.

She emphasised that the NIS remains committed to securing Nigeria’s borders, curbing irregular migration, and supporting internal security through technology-driven surveillance and enforcement.

The Nigeria Police Force described the NIS as a “valuable ally” in combating transnational crimes, human trafficking, and threats to internal peace. The 2025 ceremony also recognised several individuals and institutions whose roles have been pivotal in enhancing the country’s law enforcement and security landscape.
