Abuja, Nigeria – June 2025
The Deputy National Chairman (North) of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Alhaji Ali Bukar Dalori, has officially assumed office as the Acting National Chairman of the party.
His assumption follows the temporary exit of the substantive National Chairman, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, who is currently facing legal and party-related proceedings.
Dalori’s appointment is in line with the constitutional provisions of the party, which stipulate that the Deputy Chairman from the same region as the outgoing chairman steps in an acting capacity during periods of absence or vacancy.
Addressing party officials at the national secretariat in Abuja, Dalori pledged to uphold the unity and progressive ideals of the APC, assuring stakeholders of his commitment to party discipline, inclusivity, and internal democracy.
“The All Progressives Congress is bigger than any individual. I will work with all organs of the party to ensure continuity, stability, and preparation ahead of future elections,” he stated.
Party members and stakeholders have welcomed the development, expressing confidence in Dalori’s leadership experience and capacity to steer the party during this transitional period.
Further announcements regarding party activities and meetings under his interim leadership are expected in the coming days.
