The government of the People’s Republic of China has openly condemned recent Israeli airstrikes on parts of Yemen, describing the attacks as a violation of international norms and a threat to regional peace and stability.
In a statement released through its Foreign Ministry, Beijing expressed deep concern over the escalation of hostilities, warning that such military actions could further destabilise the already fragile situation in the Middle East. The Chinese authorities reiterated their call for maximum restraint among all parties and urged adherence to the principles of the United Nations Charter.
China emphasised the importance of respecting the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Yemen, adding that armed intervention without international consensus or a clear legal basis undermines diplomatic efforts aimed at achieving lasting peace in the region. The statement further highlighted China’s support for dialogue and negotiation as the only viable path to resolving ongoing tensions.
China has consistently advocated for de-escalation in conflict zones and has positioned itself as a proponent of multilateral diplomacy. The condemnation comes amid growing international criticism of the widening scope of Israeli military operations beyond its borders.
