The Lagos State Local Government Service Commission (LGSC) has announced an extension of the scheduled date for the Computer-Based Test (CBT) as part of the ongoing recruitment into Local Government Councils and Local Council Development Areas across the state.
Originally fixed for Monday, 7th July 2025 between 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m., the commission has now rescheduled the test to span a five-day window, from Monday, 7th July to Friday, 11th July 2025. This adjustment, according to the commission, is aimed at easing access for applicants who had encountered congestion and logistical challenges during the initial schedule.
In an official statement signed by the commission, candidates were advised to adhere strictly to the guidelines provided for accessing the CBT portal and completing the test successfully.
Applicants are to visit the LGSC website at lslgsc.com.ng, and navigate to the Services tab using only compatible browsers such as Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Microsoft Edge.
Upon accessing the CBT portal, candidates are to log in using a unique username format: Name/LGSC/State of Origin — for instance, Emeka/LGSC/Osun, ensuring the name matches exactly with the one on the acknowledgement slip. The password is defined as the last ten digits of the applicant’s registration number, excluding the prefix — for example, from LSGSC/Ogun/0045770.8857040741, the password would be 8857040741.
After a successful login, users will be redirected to their dashboard, where they are expected to read all instructions carefully before clicking “Start Test” or “Begin Selection Test” to proceed.
Applicants are strongly advised to ensure a stable internet connection before commencing the test and to avoid refreshing or closing the browser mid-test, as this will result in automatic disqualification. The LGSC also urged candidates to take the test in a quiet, uninterrupted environment for the best experience.
The Commission extended its appreciation to all applicants for their patience and cooperation, reaffirming its commitment to a transparent and merit-based recruitment process.
