Nigeria Customs Command and Staff College Inaugurates Students of Senior Course 13

The Nigeria Customs Command and Staff College has officially inaugurated the students of Senior Course 13, marking a significant step in the continuous capacity development of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS).

Held at the college premises in Gwagwalada, Abuja, the inauguration ceremony brought together top customs officials, strategic stakeholders, and course participants, reaffirming the Service’s commitment to professionalism, knowledge enhancement, and leadership training.

Speaking at the event, the Acting Comptroller-General of Customs, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, represented by a senior official, emphasized that the course is tailored to equip participants with advanced strategic and operational competencies necessary for effective customs administration in a dynamic global trade environment.

He highlighted the importance of knowledge-sharing, inter-agency collaboration, and technological adaptation, urging the participants to seize the opportunity to improve their analytical, leadership, and policy-formulation skills to better serve the nation.

Senior Course 13 comprises officers drawn from various customs formations across the country. Over the duration of the course, they will undergo intensive modules covering trade facilitation, border security, risk management, anti-smuggling strategies, and international customs best practices.

The Command and Staff College, established to serve as the intellectual hub of the NCS, continues to play a pivotal role in shaping a more competent and future-ready customs workforce, aligned with global standards and national development objectives.
