The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has renewed its appeal to the global community for urgent and unified action to halt the worsening humanitarian crisis in Gaza, as tensions continue to escalate between Israeli forces and Palestinian groups. The call was made amid mounting civilian casualties, infrastructure destruction, and widespread displacement in the besieged territory.
In an official statement issued by the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Kingdom condemned the ongoing violence and expressed deep concern over the deteriorating conditions facing innocent civilians, particularly women and children. The Saudi government urged major powers, international organisations, and the United Nations to act swiftly and decisively to put an end to the bloodshed and ensure access to humanitarian aid for those affected.
Saudi Arabia reiterated its longstanding support for the Palestinian people and emphasized that lasting peace in the region can only be achieved through a just and comprehensive solution—chief among them being the establishment of an independent Palestinian state based on pre-1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
The Kingdom reaffirmed its commitment to the Arab Peace Initiative and the principles of international law, noting that decades of occupation, blockade, and denial of Palestinian rights have created an unsustainable situation that poses a serious threat to regional and global stability.
Riyadh’s latest position comes as global concern intensifies over the scale of destruction in Gaza, with key diplomatic efforts underway to broker a ceasefire and resume peace negotiations. The Kingdom stressed that military action alone will not resolve the conflict, urging all parties involved to return to the negotiation table in good faith.
Saudi Arabia also expressed solidarity with countries and humanitarian agencies providing relief to displaced Palestinians and called on the international community to intensify support for reconstruction efforts and long-term political resolution.
As tensions persist in the region, Saudi Arabia maintains that any lasting peace must prioritise the rights, dignity, and sovereignty of the Palestinian people, in line with global consensus on the two-state solution.
