The Lagos State Health District III has commenced an Integrated Medical Outreach programme in Ibeju-Lekki, aimed at expanding access to quality healthcare services for residents. The initiative seeks to bridge healthcare gaps by delivering essential medical interventions directly to communities, particularly underserved areas.
Speaking at the launch, officials from Health District III explained that the outreach will cover a wide range of services, including maternal and child health care, immunisations, disease screenings, and health education. The programme is designed to improve early detection and management of health conditions while promoting preventive healthcare practices.
Residents of Ibeju-Lekki welcomed the initiative, noting that it would reduce the challenges of travelling long distances to access medical facilities. Health District III reaffirmed its commitment to sustaining such interventions as part of its broader mandate to strengthen primary healthcare delivery in Lagos State.
