Abuja, Nigeria — August 15, 2025 | The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has temporarily shut down its portal for uploading 2025 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) results following unexpected technical glitches.
In a statement on Wednesday, JAMB explained that the suspension was necessary to give its technical team room to fix system faults that have been disrupting smooth result submissions by admission-seeking candidates.
The board assured that no candidate would lose out in the ongoing admissions process, as timelines for uploading results will be adjusted once the system is back online. It also urged applicants to avoid repeated upload attempts during the downtime to prevent data errors.
The hiccup comes at a critical stage in the 2025 admission cycle, with universities, polytechnics, and colleges of education awaiting complete candidate records to finalise their lists.
JAMB reaffirmed its commitment to transparency, efficiency, and quick resolution of the problem, pledging to restore the portal to full functionality as soon as possible.
