Air Peace Expands Fleet with Arrival of Fourth Boeing 777, Eyes Global Routes

August 24, 2025 — Nigeria’s leading carrier, Air Peace, has taken delivery of its fourth Boeing 777-200ER (5N-CEG), which arrived at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, to a spectacular water salute and warm reception from the airline’s top executives.

The addition of the wide-body aircraft is seen as a major milestone in Air Peace’s international expansion strategy, boosting its capacity to compete on long-haul routes. Configured with passenger comfort in mind, the aircraft is set to commence flights on the Abuja–London route, while plans are underway to extend services to Europe, South America, and the Caribbean.

Speaking during the reception ceremony, airline officials reaffirmed Air Peace’s commitment to positioning Nigeria as a key player in global aviation. They noted that the acquisition of another Boeing 777 would not only enhance connectivity but also improve travel options for Nigerians and strengthen trade and tourism links.

Aviation analysts described the fleet expansion as timely, given the growing demand for international travel out of Nigeria. The development is also expected to create more job opportunities and consolidate Air Peace’s status as the country’s largest airline operator.
