The State of Qatar has strongly denied circulating reports suggesting that it was briefed in advance about the alleged Israeli operation targeting Hamas figures in Doha. In a firm rebuttal issued by the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the government described such claims as entirely “baseless” and lacking any foundation in truth.
The statement, released to local and international media outlets, condemned what it called a deliberate attempt to distort facts and mislead the public at a critical time for regional stability. Doha emphasised that it had no prior knowledge, involvement, or coordination with any party regarding the alleged Israeli strike, which has sparked global concern and intensified diplomatic tensions across the Middle East.
“The State of Qatar categorically rejects these unfounded allegations,” the Ministry stated, adding that such narratives not only undermine Qatar’s longstanding role as a neutral mediator in regional conflicts but also serve to fuel further instability during an already delicate geopolitical moment.
Qatar, known for hosting leaders of various Palestinian factions including Hamas, has often found itself at the centre of sensitive diplomatic developments.
