Anambra to Disburse ₦3.5 Billion to 8,300 Youths in Second Phase of Skills Empowerment Programme

The Anambra State Government has concluded plans to disburse ₦3.5 billion to 8,300 beneficiaries under the second batch of its “1Youth2Skills Plus” programme.
Commissioner for Youth Development, Patrick Aghamba, disclosed this in a statement on Tuesday in Awka. He explained that the empowerment package is designed to help youths establish or expand their businesses after completing entrepreneurial and vocational training.
According to him, the graduation and empowerment ceremony will take place on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, at the International Conference Centre, Awka, where Governor Chukwuma Soludo is expected to personally hand over support packages and unveil additional initiatives to promote youth entrepreneurship.
Aghamba noted that in the first batch, 5,000 youths received ₦2 billion in financial support alongside mentorship and cooperative assistance, underscoring government’s commitment to tackling unemployment and building a new generation of entrepreneurs in the state.
The commissioner added that the initiative aims not only at empowering individuals but also at stimulating economic growth and fostering sustainable enterprises across Anambra.
