NAHCON Announces Reduction in 2026 Hajj Fares Across Nigerian Zones

The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has unveiled a reduction in the Hajj fares for 2026 compared to the 2025 rates, bringing relief to intending pilgrims from across the country. The commission’s recent breakdown reveals that all three major zones—Borno/Adamawa, Northern, and Southern—will benefit from notable decreases in the cost of the pilgrimage.

For pilgrims from the Borno and Adamawa zones, the 2026 fare has been set at N8,118,333.67, marking a reduction of N208,791.92 from the 2025 rate of N8,327,125.59. Similarly, the Northern zone fare has been adjusted to N8,244,813.67, down by N212,871.92 from last year’s N8,457,685.59. Meanwhile, the Southern zone, which had the highest fare in 2025 at N8,784,085.59, will see the 2026 cost lowered to N8,561,013.67, reflecting a decrease of N223,071.92.

This strategic pricing adjustment by NAHCON aims to ease the financial burden on Nigerian pilgrims while maintaining the quality of services and safety standards mandated by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The commission’s move aligns with ongoing efforts to improve the accessibility and organisation of Nigeria’s Hajj exercise.

As the 2026 pilgrimage approaches, NAHCON continues to urge prospective pilgrims to complete their registration and payment processes promptly to benefit from the revised fares and secure their participation in this sacred journey. The commission remains committed to facilitating a smooth, affordable, and spiritually fulfilling Hajj experience for all Nigerian Muslims.
