Awka, Anambra State – Thursday, September 11, 2025
John Chuma Nwosu, the African Democratic Congress (ADC) governorship candidate in Anambra State, has commended the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for formally recognizing the party’s leadership.
Speaking in Awka, Nwosu described INEC’s recognition as a “democratic relief” for voters seeking credible alternatives in a political landscape historically dominated by major parties. He drew parallels to the political dominance seen in the 2003 elections under the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), emphasizing the need for greater transparency and accountability.
The endorsement follows Nwosu’s official recognition by the Anambra Renaissance Group, the state wing of the Southeast Renaissance Group, under the national coalition platform led by the ADC. The move is expected to bolster the party’s visibility and provide voters with a credible alternative ahead of the upcoming gubernatorial elections.
