Pa Reuben Fasoranti, the venerable 98-year-old national leader of the Yoruba socio-political group Afenifere, has expressed profound satisfaction with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s performance since assuming office. Speaking during a courtesy visit by the First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, to his residence in Akure, Ondo State, Fasoranti praised the President for surpassing his expectations in governance and national development. “I am satisfied with what he is doing in Nigeria. Well done,” he declared, offering prayers for divine guidance and continued success for the administration.
The First Lady’s visit, described as informal, was also an opportunity to acknowledge Fasoranti’s status as a father figure to both herself and the President. During her two-day official trip to Ondo State, Senator Tinubu launched several health and empowerment initiatives under her Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI), which aims to support vulnerable groups across Nigeria. The visit included engagements with over 60 traditional rulers in the state, who also commended President Tinubu’s efforts and pledged their support for his administration.
Fasoranti’s endorsement adds to a chorus of support from Yoruba leaders and traditional rulers who have applauded the Tinubu administration’s strides in governance, economic empowerment, and social development. The elder statesman’s commendation underscores a growing confidence in the President’s leadership as he steers Nigeria toward stability and progress.
