Africa’s Future Is Now: Invest in Nigeria, Uzoka-Anite Tells Global Investors

Hon.Minister Of State For Finance Of Nigeria

The Honourable Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Dr. Doris Uzoka-Anite, has made a passionate appeal to the global investment community to prioritise Nigeria as the gateway to Africa’s economic future, declaring that “Africa’s future is here, and that future begins with Nigeria.”

Speaking at an international investment forum, the Minister highlighted Nigeria’s strategic importance on the continent and its immense potential across key sectors including agriculture, technology, manufacturing, energy, and the creative industries. She described the country as a dynamic hub of talent, innovation, and enterprise that is ripe for long-term investment.

“Nigeria offers a young, educated, and entrepreneurial population, vast natural resources, a growing digital economy, and access to the largest consumer market in Africa,” Uzoka-Anite stated. “We are implementing structural reforms, simplifying the business environment, and building critical infrastructure that will power inclusive economic growth.”

The Minister further noted that ongoing initiatives under the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration are focused on deepening investor confidence, curbing regulatory bottlenecks, and strengthening public-private partnerships that drive sustainable development.

She pointed to recent policy shifts in trade liberalisation, local content promotion, and industrial clusters as indicators of a government committed to doing business differently. “Our message to global investors is simple: come to Nigeria—not just to invest in a market, but to invest in a future that is bold, profitable, and transformative,” she said.

Uzoka-Anite also stressed the importance of regional trade integration under the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA), describing Nigeria as a strategic launchpad for accessing over 1.4 billion consumers across Africa. She encouraged multinational corporations, institutional investors, and emerging market funds to seize first-mover advantages in Nigeria’s evolving sectors.

With renewed global interest in Africa as the next frontier of economic growth, the Minister’s rallying call positions Nigeria as a credible and compelling destination for forward-looking investment.

As the world seeks new engines of growth and sustainable value, Nigeria stands at the centre of Africa’s promise—offering a blend of resources, resilience, and reforms to anchor the continent’s economic transformation.
