Ahmedabad, India – June 12, 2025
An Air India flight carrying at least 242 passengers and crew has reportedly crashed near Ahmedabad, Gujarat, on Wednesday morning.
Emergency response teams, including the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and local law enforcement, are on the scene. Eyewitnesses described seeing smoke and fire near the crash site, believed to be in a rural area outside the city.
Details about the flight’s origin, destination, and possible cause of the crash remain unclear. Officials have not confirmed the number of casualties or survivors as search and rescue operations continue.
The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has launched an investigation, and Air India is expected to release an official statement shortly.
