Air Peace Honors Gold Chinyere-Ike as First Woman from Remote Abia Community to Take Flight

Air Peace has proudly celebrated Gold Chinyere-Ike, the first female from the remote community of Umuerim Umukparo in Mbala, Umunneochi Local Government Area of Abia State, to travel by air. The airline’s founder, Allen Onyema, through a statement by the Head of Corporate Communications, Ejike Ndiulo, highlighted Ms. Ike’s historic flight, which has since gone viral on social media. A Nursing graduate from Abia State University, Gold shared her awe and joy on TikTok, describing how flying fulfilled a lifelong dream and changed her perspective of the sky, which she had only watched from below while imagining stories with her father.

To honour her milestone, Air Peace representatives visited her community to present her with two complimentary return economy tickets to any domestic destination and branded gifts, underscoring the airline’s mission to make air travel accessible to all Nigerians regardless of their background. The company emphasized that Ms. Ike’s journey symbolizes the broader goal of democratizing air travel across Nigeria, enabling dreams to take flight alongside passengers. This celebration reflects Air Peace’s commitment to connecting even the most remote communities and inspiring new possibilities for Nigerians nationwide.
