Afrobeats artist Asake has taken charge of his father, Fatai Odunsi’s, medical treatment by admitting him to a specialist hospital in Ikoyi, where a team of Chinese medical experts is attending to him, according to a reliable source.
A close neighbor of Odunsi, who had previously guided our correspondent to Asake’s childhood home in Isale Eko, confirmed the development. She stated that Odunsi was receiving treatment at the undisclosed facility and assured that further details would be available later.
A separate source within Asake’s management described the situation as an unfortunate oversight that has now been resolved. The source confirmed that Asake has started fulfilling his financial responsibilities towards both his father and his daughter, Zeenat. However, there was no confirmation regarding any financial support or reconciliation with Zeenat’s mother.
Following their reunion, Odunsi previously mentioned in a viral video that Asake had committed to purchasing a new home for him and covering all medical expenses. He also noted that real estate agents were actively searching for a suitable property, while Asake had assured full responsibility for his daughter’s well-being. However, there was no mention of any discussions regarding his daughter’s mother.
