CAC Set to Enhance Company Registration Portal for Improved Speed and User Experience

The Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) has announced plans to upgrade its online company registration platform in a bid to ensure faster processing times and a more seamless experience for users across Nigeria. The move, which forms part of broader reforms aimed at strengthening the country’s ease of doing business framework, is expected to enhance service delivery and reduce delays experienced by individuals and businesses seeking to register new entities.

According to the Commission, the upgrade will introduce key improvements in platform responsiveness, automation, and user accessibility. This will not only fast-track the registration process but also cut down on technical issues that have previously slowed down applications on the current portal.

Speaking on the development, the Registrar-General of the CAC, Hussaini Magaji (SAN), explained that the commission is committed to leveraging technology to ease regulatory bottlenecks and make business registration more efficient. He noted that the overhaul of the digital platform aligns with the federal government’s push to attract more investors by streamlining bureaucratic processes.

The planned system upgrade comes amid growing feedback from entrepreneurs, legal practitioners, and tech startups who have consistently called for improvements in the CAC’s digital infrastructure. Many users have reported downtime, login difficulties, and limited response support—issues the new system is expected to resolve.

Magaji assured Nigerians that the upgrade will be carried out in phases to avoid disruptions to ongoing services. He also emphasized that the CAC remains focused on ensuring transparency, accountability, and speed in company registration processes.

With this digital enhancement, the CAC hopes to bolster investor confidence and further position Nigeria as a competitive destination for local and foreign businesses seeking formal incorporation.
