News Report – July 21, 2025
The Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) has announced a postponement in the implementation of its revised service fees, shifting the effective date to September 1, 2025. The decision was made to address transitional difficulties and ensure a smooth adjustment for stakeholders.
The announcement, made on Monday, explained that the delay became necessary due to operational and technical challenges faced during the preparatory phase. Initially scheduled to take effect earlier in July, the updated service charges are part of the CAC’s efforts to align its fee structure with current economic realities and enhance service delivery.
According to the Commission, the additional time will allow for the resolution of system integration issues and further engagement with key stakeholders, including business owners, legal practitioners, and other users of CAC services.
While the Commission reiterated its commitment to improved efficiency and customer satisfaction, it appealed for public understanding, assuring that all pending adjustments will be fully operational by the new date.
The CAC further emphasized that the deferment will not affect ongoing applications and services already in progress under the existing fee regime.
