CDCFIB Shifts Recruitment Date, Updates Official Portal for Paramilitary Applications

The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire, and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has officially announced a change in the commencement date for its nationwide recruitment exercise into four major paramilitary agencies. According to the latest update, the online application process is now set to begin on Monday, July 14, 2025, superseding the earlier scheduled date of Thursday, June 26, 2025.

This recruitment exercise covers the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Federal Fire Service (FFS), and the Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS). The postponement, according to the Board, is aimed at ensuring a smoother application experience and strengthening the digital framework to enhance security and transparency.

In addition to the date change, the CDCFIB has corrected and confirmed the official web address for the application portal. Prospective applicants are now advised to submit their applications exclusively via www.cdcfib.gov.ng. The Board emphasized that this is the only authorised website for the recruitment process and urged the public to disregard any other web addresses or unofficial platforms circulating online.

In a public statement signed by the CDCFIB’s Deputy Director of Public Affairs, the Board said:

“The CDCFIB wishes to correct an error and inform the general public that its recruitment portal, which was earlier slated to open on Thursday, 26th June, 2025, will now open on Monday, 14th July, 2025. Also, the Board’s portal for prospective applicants desiring to apply for the Service of their choice is now:

The CDCFIB further reassured Nigerians that the recruitment process remains entirely free of charge, and applicants are strongly warned not to make any form of payment to individuals or websites claiming to facilitate the application process on their behalf. The Board advised the public to remain cautious and to report any suspected fraudulent activity.

While apologising for any inconvenience the rescheduling may have caused, the Board called for patience and vigilance from applicants, reaffirming its commitment to a fair, merit-based recruitment process that adheres strictly to national standards.

With this update, interested candidates across the country are urged to prepare accordingly, stay informed through official channels, and ensure their applications are submitted via the correct portal once it opens on the new date.
