Delegates from the Concerned Nations Initiative (CNI) have paid a courtesy visit to the Executive Chairman of Ibeju-Lekki Local Government Area, Hon. Abdullahi Sesan Olowa, pledging to partner with the council on various initiatives aimed at boosting grassroots development.

The visit, which took place at the council secretariat, was part of CNI’s broader engagement strategy to work with local governments in advancing community-based solutions to development challenges. The delegation was received by Hon. Olowa, who used the occasion to showcase some of his administration’s ongoing efforts to promote inclusive growth and empower residents of Ibeju-Lekki.

Speaking during the meeting, the head of the delegation praised the local government’s commitment to youth and women empowerment, infrastructure development, and education. He noted that CNI was impressed by the council’s proactive leadership and was ready to offer technical and logistical support to enhance developmental outcomes across the LGA.

“We believe in sustainable partnerships that improve lives at the community level. The strides made by the Ibeju-Lekki local government under your leadership are commendable, and we are here to strengthen those efforts,” the delegate leader said.

In response, Hon. Olowa expressed appreciation for the visit and the organization’s willingness to contribute to the council’s development agenda. He reiterated his administration’s dedication to implementing people-oriented programmes and creating a conducive environment for local and international collaborations.

“This visit is a welcome development. We are open to partnerships that align with our vision of sustainable development and improved quality of life for our people. Ibeju-Lekki is evolving into a major economic hub, and strategic collaborations such as this will help us manage that growth inclusively,” the chairman stated.

Both parties agreed to explore areas of synergy in education, health, skill acquisition, and social welfare. Plans are also underway to establish a working framework for consistent engagement and project execution.

The meeting ended on a high note, with delegates touring parts of the council to assess potential areas for intervention.
