Lagos, Nigeria | September 15, 2025 — The Chief Missioner of the Nasrul-Lahi-L-Fatih Society of Nigeria (NASFAT), Imam Abdul-Azeez Onike, has been named recipient of the Distinguished Honoree Award by the Centre for Values in Leadership (CVL).
The honour will be formally conferred during CVL’s 71st colloquium, scheduled to hold on October 30, 2025, at the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN), Victoria Island, Lagos.
Imam Onike was selected in recognition of his years of selfless service as a religious leader, his dedication to peace-building, and his contributions to nation-building and interfaith harmony.
According to the organizers, the CVL award is reserved for Nigerians who have positively shaped society through their careers and professional engagements. Previous recipients include some of the nation’s most respected figures, such as Mr. Akintola Williams, Dr. Christopher Kolade, Chief Emeka Anyaoku, Prof. Grace Alele-Williams, Cardinal John Onaiyekan, Chief Ernest Shonekan, and Chief Wole Olanipekun.
The award, CVL noted, is a celebration of leadership, excellence, and service to humanity.
NASFAT members and well-wishers have already begun to extend congratulatory messages, describing the recognition as a testament to Imam Onike’s commitment to spiritual guidance, education, and the promotion of peaceful co-existence across Nigeria.
