Delta Governor Oborevwori’s Projects Earn Royal Praise from Asagba of Asaba

Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s developmental strides across the state have received a royal seal of approval, as the Asagba of Asaba, His Royal Majesty, Prof. Epiphany Chigbogu Azinge, SAN, commended the governor for his impactful and verifiable projects spread across all 25 local government areas.

Speaking during a recent courtesy visit by the governor to the Asagba’s palace in Asaba, the respected monarch reaffirmed the traditional institution’s support for the Oborevwori-led administration, noting that the governor has kept faith with his “MORE Agenda” — a blueprint centered on Meaningful Development, Opportunities for All, Realistic Reforms, and Enhanced Peace and Security.

The Asagba praised Governor Oborevwori for what he described as “visible governance,” saying the physical transformation in roads, healthcare, education, and housing has not gone unnoticed by the people, especially traditional rulers and grassroots communities.

“Your Excellency, we are proud of the legacy you are building in Delta State. Your projects are not on paper — they are on the ground. From upland to riverine, we can all see the results of a governor who leads with vision and compassion,” the monarch stated.

Governor Oborevwori, in his response, expressed appreciation for the royal endorsement and reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to inclusive development that touches every corner of the state. He noted that governance under his leadership is people-centered and that efforts are ongoing to deepen infrastructure development, attract investment, and ensure peace and unity among the diverse ethnic groups in the state.

“Our work is far from done, but we are proud of what we have achieved so far. With the support of our royal fathers and the good people of Delta, we will continue to deliver impactful governance and development across the 25 LGAs,” Oborevwori said.

Since assuming office in 2023, Governor Oborevwori has commissioned several landmark projects, including the completion of the Trans-Warri-Ode-Itsekiri Bridge, extensive road rehabilitation in rural and urban areas, health centres, and school infrastructure upgrades. His administration has also launched youth empowerment schemes and civil service reforms aimed at improving productivity.

The commendation from the Asagba of Asaba adds to the growing list of endorsements the governor has received from community leaders and political stakeholders across the state.
