Makkah, June 10, 2025 – As the 1447H Umrah season officially begins, His Excellency Dr. Abdul Fattah bin Sulaiman Mashat, the Deputy Minister of Hajj and Umrah, has reaffirmed the Kingdom’s full preparedness to deliver a seamless, secure, and spiritually fulfilling experience for millions of pilgrims expected in the coming months.
During an official review of the Umrah and Ziyarah ecosystem, Dr. Mashat highlighted the integrated efforts of various agencies tasked with managing pilgrim services, including airport logistics, transportation, health and emergency response, accommodation, and crowd control.
He stressed that the Ministry, in collaboration with key partners such as the General Presidency for the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques, the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA), and private sector stakeholders, has upgraded systems and infrastructure to accommodate increasing global demand for religious visits to Makkah and Madinah.
“As we begin the new Umrah season, our top priority remains the comfort and safety of our guests. We have coordinated across all relevant entities to ensure every stage of their journey — from visa issuance to Tawaf and Ziyarah — is handled with precision, care, and respect,” Dr. Mashat said.
He also praised the growing role of technology in enhancing pilgrimage experiences, citing the Nusuk platform as a critical tool in enabling pilgrims to secure permits, book accommodations, and access real-time guidance during their spiritual journey.
The 1447H season is expected to welcome millions of pilgrims from around the world, many of whom are returning after Hajj or visiting during the summer travel window. Authorities have assured that all health protocols, accessibility features, and hospitality standards have been strengthened to meet international expectations.
The Deputy Minister concluded his briefing by thanking frontline workers, volunteers, and private tour operators for their commitment to upholding the Kingdom’s vision of a digitally enabled, human-centered pilgrimage system that reflects the spirit of service and excellence.
