Khillet al-Dabaʿ, Hebron – September 5, 2025
Dozens of Israeli settlers armed with sticks and knives stormed the Palestinian community of Khillet al-Dabaʿ, near Hebron in the occupied West Bank, at dawn on Friday, September 5, 2025, leaving at least 20 people injured, including children and a three-month-old infant.
According to the Anadolu News Agency, the settlers assaulted residents in the Masafer Yatta area, damaging homes, destroying olive and almond trees, and looting livestock fodder. Several families were forced to flee and seek shelter in nearby caves.
Local health workers reported that nine of the injured required hospital treatment, with cases ranging from fractures and bruises to stab wounds. Witnesses said some victims were later detained following the attack.
Khillet al-Dabaʿ, a small Palestinian hamlet, has faced repeated settler assaults in recent years amid efforts by Israeli authorities to designate the area as a military firing zone. Human rights groups, including Amnesty International, have warned of the risk of forcible displacement of residents.
The latest incident comes amid a sharp rise in settler violence across the West Bank. Data from the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) indicates that more than 1,000 settler attacks resulting in injuries or property damage have been recorded in the first eight months of 2025.
