This assurance comes on the heels of recent security concerns that led to the suspension of the iconic Durbar festivities during the 2025 Eid-el-Fitr celebrations, a decision rooted in intelligence reports pointing to potential threats by disruptive elements seeking to exploit large gatherings for nefarious activities.
Commissioner of Police, Ibrahim Bakori, addressed the public at the Bompai Police Headquarters, emphasizing that the force, in collaboration with other security agencies, has put in place robust measures to ensure peaceful religious observances and public order throughout the Easter period. He urged worshippers and residents to remain vigilant, comply with security guidelines at prayer grounds, and avoid bringing items that could arouse suspicion.
